Zen and the Art of the Scooterist

Regardless of whether you are rolling on a Vespa, Lambretta, Mibo, Micro, Mini or any other two-wheeled Modernist's conveyance, here is a short list of the kind of things you need to bear in mind (or on body).

Outfit: Protective (but stylish) clothing: Fishtail Parka, hat of some kind: army helmet, box helmet, etc. skateboard or BMX armour (if you are going off-piste). A decent pair of Desert Boots or trainers.

Accessories: Fitted Tinkle Bell (or whistle), wing mirror(s), padlock & chain, lights (as many as you can carry).

Tool kit: Torch, A couple of most often used spanners, 3-in-1 Oil, WD40, Rag and Gaffa Tape.

Attitude: Stay in the zone. Be polite. Maintain the attitude of Knight Of The Road - and pavement. Go anywhere until you get stopped, then keep going, and remember, if you fall off your scooter while no-one is around - it never happened.

Please note I am no expert and make no claims to be, this is how I roll, it's not for everyone.
